SMS® is a simple and economical rapid test for Salmonella detection in foodstuffs. First worldwide AFNOR VALIDATION certified method according to EN ISO 16140 protocol (n°AES 10/04-05/04), SMS® allows results within 30 to 44 hours.

SMS® confirmation: AES CHEMUNEX introduces 2 confirmation methods: 5 or 24 hour protocols

• 5±1 hour protocol:
Subculture a presumptive positive SMS® plate in heart-brain broth.
Latex agglutination test.

• 24 hour protocol:
Subculture a presumptive positive SMS® plate on SALSA® medium.
Latex agglutination test.

The complete SMS® method from detection to confirmation is ISO16140 validated.
